David Archer

David Archer is Director of Engineering for AI and Data at Imagine Learning, a US-headquartered education technology company, specialising in K-12 education products and works at the intersection of applied AI and learning. Before Imagine Learning he was a Software Development Manager at Amazon in Edinburgh, working on traditional machine learning applications, and earlier a Software Engineering Manager at OVO Energy amongst other companies across the UK. His educational background sits across high technology and education, studying Japanese with Business Information Systems between the University of Central Lancashire and KUIS in Makuhari, Japan. He then completed his postgraduate qualification in education at the University of Warwick and has also studied Mathematics and Statistics with the Open University. He has a keen interest in F1, International Rugby and Football, as well as almost anything Nintendo, when he isn’t spending time with his partner and three girls at home in Fife.
