Ian McGowan

Ian McGowan is the Founder and Managing Director of Barrier Networks, one of the UK’s fastest-growing cybersecurity managed service providers. With over 20 years’ experience in designing, delivering, and auditing complex infrastructure, he specialises in security operations, incident response, and secure system architecture. Ian has worked across financial services, government, defence, manufacturing, and energy, and has represented the UK internationally as a SCADA Security SME and CSIRT Trainer. He also serves in the British Army Reserve as a Cyber Security Officer.
